We trekked to the interim camp yesterday and are acclimatising here today. It seems that our “slow and steady” acclimatisation plan is working very well as we witnessed members of other teams having to be evacuated to lower altitudes.
We can see Cho Oyu very well from here, as well as its neighboring peaks such as Gyachung Kang and Jowo Rabtsang.
Tomorrow is a big day for us, as we will finally make it to Advanced Base Camp which will be our home for about 3 weeks. Some of our Tibetan staff is already there and has set part of the camp up. We are really looking forward to getting there!
