Jannike and myself decided to take an active role in the fund raising and with the support of Nakheel successfully set up a 4km on the Palm Jumeirah on the 1st April giving over a thousand Dubai residents and visitors the once in a lifetime chance to walk along the trunk of the Palm and in the process raise Dhs 100,000 which was donated to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarion and Charity Establishment Fund towards a re-construction project in Sri Lanka.

In addition to the Palm Walk we organized a high altitude trek around the classic Annapurna Circuit in Nepal as a unique way to increase awareness.

The third stage of the project was mini adventure trips to Sri Lanka to further boost the struggling tourism economy.
